Seeqpod

Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I think Seeqpod is fantabulous. You can search for music, and create your own playlist, all without having to download anything onto your local hard-drive. The music streams, pretty fast at that, you don’t really feel the lag. And the best part is that your playlist is “portable” between computers – just log into your account and you can start listening to all the songs you saved in the playlist. The drag-and-drop interface is pretty nifty too.

So I’ve created a playlist called “Thesis Writing” and as the name suggests, songs to listen to when I need to write my thesis and at the same time need to tune out to the world. It’s made up of a lot of Oasis though. It’s just something in their music that keeps me in limbo between being able to concentrate on writing, and yet be distracted enough from the world. Other songs include random numbers from Five For Fighting, Coldplay, and Adele (ref: the previous post).

Oh well. Just a post to check in and take up space.
